The Feldenkrais Method® focuses on mindful movement and awareness to help individuals discover new, more effective ways of moving and living. You can increase your range of motion, improve coordination, and enhance flexibility through gentle, intentional movements. These improvements don’t just affect your body—they often extend to clearer thinking, emotional balance, and problem-solving skills, reflecting the connection between how we move and navigate life.
Rooted in principles of physics, biomechanics, and a practical understanding of human development, the approach encourages self-awareness to recognize and adjust habitual movement patterns. As you become more attuned to your body, you can release unnecessary tension and adopt new, more efficient ways of moving, ultimately leading to a more comfortable and fulfilling way of life.
There are two main ways to experience this method: In group lessons, called Awareness Through Movement®, participants follow the teacher’s verbal guidance to explore movement sequences. Alternatively, in one-on-one sessions called Functional Integration®, a practitioner uses touch and verbal cues to guide you through movements, helping you develop new patterns and insights into your movement habits.
“Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.”
